You have your trailer hitch. Now you need to address getting power to your trailer when you are using your Jeep to tow. If the vehicle came equipped with the factory tow package with the USCAR connector at the rear of the vehicle then the Hitch Wiring Harness from Curt Manufacturing is the wiring kit for you. The dual output 7 way and 4 way trailer connector plugs into the factory original tow package wiring harness for a simple installation. The flat 4 way output provides power for a trailer's tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. The RV style, round 7 way socket can be used if you also want to connect for reverse lights, electric brakes, and auxiliary power. A mounting bracket and hardware is provided to secure the wiring near the trailer hitch or to the vehicle. Plus a dust cover is included to keep the sockets safe and clean when not in use.
