The Mopar Soft Top Folding Mechanism is a factory original replacement for the Unlimited JL Wrangler. This spring assist system attaches to the sport bar bracket and holds the pivot arms which shape the rear of the soft top. When you want to lower the top you simply unlock this mechanism with the lever and pull the two sides down to the rear of the vehicle. When it is time to put everything back up, the internal spring will assist and make lifting the assembly a piece-of-cake. Attempting to lower or raise the soft top without first unlocking the mechanism can cause damage to it or the soft top frame work.
