It has a rated breaking strength of 47,000 lbs. with only weighing 6.5 ounces. The Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle which is a lighter and safer replacement for heavy steel shackles and hooks, helps you when you need some serious recovery equipment to help you when your on your off road excursions. Bubba Rope engineered this new synthetic shackle in a way that eliminates the same rope-weakening splices found in other soft-shackle designs, by using an epoxy rubber slider that slips over the patented knot. The result is a shackle that is flexible enough to wrap around or through almost any pulling point, and has a higher tensile strength than steel.
