Durable Construction: Baja Boss M/T Radial Tires feature Mickey Thompson’s exclusive PowerPly XD™ 3-ply sidewall. The third ply is angled and had an additional 50% denier cords. This makes the tire puncture resistant while improving handling.
Asymmetric Tread: The tread pattern on the Baja Boss M/T tire was specifically engineered to reduce tire noise and droning on the highway. It is also optimized for on-road handling, off-road traction, improved on-center feel, and reduced side-slip.
Improved Shoulder and Sidewall: Mickey Thompson uses Extreme SideBiters that are 50% larger than the SideBiters on their Baja MTZP3. These aggressive sidewall features improve off-road traction, especially when aired down and rock crawling.
Off-Road Performance: When tested off-road, the Baja Boss M/T Tire out performed other tires in its class, surpassing the BFGoodrich KM3 by the largest margin. The combination of silica and the optimized tread pattern provide traction, even on wet hill climbs.
On-Road Comfort: Even though the Baja Boss M/T is an off-road tire, under normal highway conditions it still performs with leading tires in its class. However, the Baja Boss M/T comes into its own in inclement weather. This tire outperforms its competitors in the wet and snow.
