That's because it combines numerous tools into one compact design. Handles are CNC machined from high-strength aluminum with silicone O-rings to keep out dirt and moisture. Shovel blades are made with high-strength carbon steel and fully riveted for rugged durability. The included ballistic nylon protective pouch provides user safety and protection to the shovel head. The 15" long knurled handle and fully extended shovel head measure 24" long. Weighs only 2.2 lbs.
