This Crown Automotive Heavy Duty Leaf Spring was designed after original equipment on Jeep Cherokees from 1984 thru 1996, but will fit until the 2001 model year. Late model XJ's may actually achieve a little lift from using these springs as the load rating and free arch was engineered to support the early model year drivetrains and trim levels. Bushings are required for either end, so you can opt for the factory style rubber bushings or upgrade to polyurethane replacements when installation day comes. It is recommended that both springs be changed at the same time to assure a proper keel.
