The Mopar 160 Amp Alternator for JK Wranglers is a replacement power plant from the factory. If you alternator goes bad, you will quickly kill your battery as its not being re-charged as you drive. This is a new unit, not a re-manufactured and installs in place of the original easily with the original hardware. If you have added high-drain devices to the vehicle, there are stronger aftermarket alternators that put out more amps to keep up with your Jeeps demands.
