Currie has made upgrading the driveline in your Wrangler JK easy with their line of Crate Axles. The Currie 44 is a rugged yet budget-friendly way to turn your daily driver into an extreme off-road machine. This axle allows you to run up to 37” tires without running the risk of breaking or bending factory driveline components. Currie designed this crate axle to be a direct bolt-in replacement. Factory outer steering knuckles, brakes, and wheels are all compatible with this heavy-duty off-road axle. The Currie 44 features a high-pinion nodular iron center section with thicker walls and webbing that deliver superior strength and rigidity. The axle tubes are 3” diameter and .375” thick which makes them more than twice as strong as the flimsy OEM setup. With optimized driveline geometry in mind, Currie manufactures this axle to have 5 degrees of caster built-in, and multiple control arm and track bar mounting points. This allows you to dial in your suspension for ultimate ride quality and reduced wear. Currie includes built-in rebuildable Johnny Joints® that replace the factory rubber upper control arm bushings.
