4X4 POSI-LOK MAN. AXLE DISCNT LIFTED YJ

4x4 Posi-Lok replaces the vacuum actuator with a cable operated actuator that puts the driver in control of the engagement from inside the cab. After engaging the transfer case, a one inch pull of the 4x4 Posi-Lok cable connects the right front axle to the intermediate shaft using the shift collar and fork, and 4-wheel drive is engaged! Simply reverse the procedure to disengage 4-wheel drive. 4x4 Posi-Lok also works great with lockers! When the front axle is locked, you can disengage the passenger side in order to make turns without wheel hop.

Original vacuum shift motors are actuated when the transfer case is shifted into 4WD. When the shift occurs, engine vacum is placed on lines running from the transfer case to the axle. This manually controlled shifter ensures instant 4WD engagement and works great with lockers. After engaging your transfer case, with a simple one-inch pull, your fornt axle is positively engaged. You can engage the front axle while sitting still or on the fly. With the 4x4 Posi-Lok, you will also be able to disengage the front axle while the transfer case is shifted into 4WD low to provide a true 2WD low!

Installation takes about two hours with common hand tools, but is mostly recommended for more experienced backyard mechanics.
