Details

The Mopar Differential Shaft Pin is a small part with a big job inside your Jeeps differential. This roll-style pin keeps the differential shaft held in position inside the case, in turn, holding the spider gears in place as they rotate. A broken shaft or pin could allow movement inside the differential that could lead to greater damage to drive train components, so if you have some play in your axles, open up the cover and see what is going on.
