The Mopar Rear Drive Shaft Boot Kit is a replacement for the boot that is cracked and falling apart on your Unlimited Wrangler. Regular visual inspections of the drive train are recommended so you can identify issues before they become problems. A boot that is allowing dirt and debris into the splines should be changed to prolong the life of the drive shaft. If the splines are jammed up you are losing slip and could pull out a yoke or flange. Too much debris could also wear away at the splines allowing for extra play which is bad for the gears and drive train. Rear drive shaft must be removed to properly service boot and splines.
