For the JK Wrangler, the Mopar Front Drive Shaft Boot replaces the original boot that has cracked off or melted due to its proximity to the front exhaust pipe. If the boot is missing that will allow the grease inside to spin out onto the undercarriage of the Jeep, as well as allow dirt and debris to get into the splines on the shaft. If this area gets jammed up and cannot slip as its designed, you could do more damage to the driveshaft or worse, the rest of the drive train. Replacing the boot with a genuine factory replacement will give you confidence that your investment will last for years to come. Please note: This only includes the boot and clamps. The driveshaft is sold separately.
