The Fairchild Industries Transfer Case Shift Cable Bushing is a direct replacement for the Wrangler JK. Located at the shifter end of the cable, this bushing helps to promote smooth shifting through the 4 wheel rive range. If you use your transfer case on a regular basis, time can wear this bushing down, leading to sloppy shifting and sometimes weak shifting where full engagement has not occurred, potentially damaging the case internals.
