Gen5 SureFit Complete A/C Kit 1981-1986 Jeep CJ5/CJ7/CJ8

Vintage Air Gen5 SureFit Complete A/C Kit 1981-1986 Jeep CJ5/CJ7/CJ8 delivers a total climate control transformation for one of the most iconic off-road platforms ever built. Designed specifically for 1981 through 1986 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, and CJ8 models, this fifth-generation system represents the pinnacle of aftermarket automotive air conditioning technology, offering everything you need in a single comprehensive package.

At the heart of this kit is Vintage Air's fully electronic, microprocessor-controlled evaporator unit that eliminates the need for cables or vacuum connections entirely. The result is a cleaner, more reliable installation that integrates seamlessly into your CJ's interior. Separate, state-of-the-art high-density aluminum heat exchangers maximize performance and reliability, while the injection molded case ensures optimal precision, strength, and long-term durability. Injection molded blend air doors with integral rubber seals keep airflow management tight and efficient, and removable access covers make future coil servicing straightforward.

The system is engineered to cool your Jeep faster than ever before, backed by improved diagnostics and advanced systematic fail safes for added peace of mind on the trail or the street. Rubber well-nut mounting points minimize noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), delivering a noticeably quieter cabin experience. The quiet high-performance blower, combined with separate high-capacity A/C and heater coils and a blend air door, allows for rapid vent temperature adjustment whether you need full cool, full heat, or anything in between.

This complete kit goes well beyond the evaporator unit. It includes all under-hood components: compressor, engine brackets, condenser with brackets, preformed refrigerant lines, drier, fittings, hardware, and installation instructions. An OEM block-type expansion valve and powder-coated steel mounting brackets round out the package, ensuring a precise, professional-grade fit every time. New rotary controls are also included, giving your classic Jeep a clean, factory-inspired look with modern performance behind it. The Vintage Air Gen5 SureFit Complete A/C Kit 1981-1986 Jeep CJ5/CJ7/CJ8 is the definitive solution for restoring cool, comfortable air to your classic CJ.
