Regular maintenance and tune ups on your JK Wrangler can prolong the life of the engine. With a new Mopar Engine Oil Filter you can reduce the strain on the oil pump and insure that the proper flow of oil is reaching the top of the engine. New Jeeps from the lot should change their oil and filter within the first 500 miles to clear out any shavings or particulates that got stuck in the engine during production. Once that break-in filter is swapped you can change the filter on recommended intervals.
