The Crown Automotive Flywheel Ring Gear is a direct replacement for the Jeep Go-Devil and Hurricane engine drivetrains used until the early 70's. This ring gear has 124 external teeth to correspond to the proper timing needed to get the engine started. Over time these teeth can wear down or a bad connection with the starter can wear the teeth down pre-maturely as well, if you notice missing or excessively rounded teeth, it is recommended to service and make sure that your Jeep starts correctly every time and does not stress the drivetrain.
