The Derringer has been dyno calibrated to use multiple data inputs such as throttle position, rpm, vehicle speed, AFR, knock, coolant temperature, and EGT, just like your engine's ECM, to actively and safely optimize calibrations in real-time. With 6 levels of adjustable on-the-fly tuning you can increase your on-ramp merging speeds and passing times while still hauling a fully loaded trailer, and reduce the calibration for long hauls to regain the max fuel economy. The DataMonster gauge can be switched to Data Logging mode where it records up to 20 samples per second of 100 different parameters that are not shown by your traditional dash. View the data directly on the color gauge screen or import the data to your computer with the included Micro SD Card and view with any program using .csv file extensions. The Derringer connects in line with your truck's engine sensors. But unlike other tuners, it also connects to the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic bus. ActiveSafety health monitoring circuitry keeps an eye on the vehicle and the module itself, checking its health 100 times a second. If it detects an issue, the Derringer instantly bypasses itself, sets a device diagnostic code, and seamlessly returns the truck to stock power.
