AEV SNORKEL JL/JT HIGH FLARE
Built for serious overland travel and demanding trail environments, the AEV Snorkel Kit raises the intake position on the 2018-current Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020-current Gladiator JT to help improve airflow quality in dusty, muddy, and wet conditions. Compatible with both low and high flares on all models except EcoDiesel (high-flare only), this snorkel system integrates cleanly with the Jeep’s body lines while adding a rugged, expedition-inspired appearance.
Manufactured in the USA from UV-stable cross-linked polyethylene, the snorkel is engineered to withstand harsh climates, trail debris, and long-term outdoor exposure while remaining lightweight and extremely durable. The system connects directly to the factory airbox and includes application-specific components for supported gasoline, hybrid, diesel, and EcoDiesel engine configurations. By raising the vehicle's intake, the snorkel helps reduce the amount of water, dust, and debris that reach the engine during off-road driving and water crossings. Designed with OEM-level fitment and functionality in mind, this system delivers improved intake protection while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance.
IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTES:
- EcoDiesel Owners: Jeep has issued TSB 18-003-23. AEV recommends this TSB be performed before the installation of AEV snorkel system.
- This snorkel kit is NOT compatible with Mojave Gladiator (hood) and 392 (hood).
- The optional A-Pillar Mount is NOT compatible with 3.0L EcoDiesel engines.
- NOT recommended for JL Wranglers equipped with a one-touch power top.
- 3.0L EcoDiesel includes Sy-Klone filter and mounts to driver side. All others mount to passenger side.
Heavy-Duty Construction: Made from thermal and UV-stable cross-linked polyethylene, the AEV Snorkel System is lightweight but durable. It can hold up to both off-road abuse and extreme temperatures.
Optional Accessories: If you live in a particularly dusty climate, then a Sy-Klone Pre-Filter Assembly (sold separately) is a good add-on for your AEV Snorkel System. This self-cleaning prefilter is designed to remove dirt, sand, silt, and debris before they reach your air filter. It also comes standard on the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel snorkel. For the full open-air experience, AEV offers their A-Pillar Snorkel Mount (sold separately). This adapter bracket allows you to fold your Jeep’s windshield down without removing your AEV Snorkel System.
Vehicle Specific Design: This AEV Snorkel System was engineered for use with both JL Wranglers and JT Gladiators. There are 2 versions of the snorkel, one is compatible with the 2.0L, 3.6L, and 2.2L CRD engines, while the other is for the 3.0L EcoDiesel (comes with Sy-Klone Pre-Filter). Note: Diesel editions mount on the driver side.
Factory Fender Flare Options: Wranglers and Gladiators are available from the factory in two different fender configurations. Rubicons come equipped with High Fender Flares, where the Sport, Sahara, and most other trim levels have Low Fender Flares. AEV allows you to choose the option that matches the flares are currently installed on your Jeep.
