Added Strength: The aluminum and magnesium factory tailgate is not strong enough to hold up to the stress of a large aftermarket spare tire. By adding a steel plate to the outside of the tailgate, this kit provides the support you need.
Full-Sized Spare Tire: When used in conjunction with the Rough Country Spare Tire Relocation Bracket (sold separately), the Rough Country Tailgate Reinforcement Kit allows you to run up to a 35in spare tire.
