EMU BP-51 SHOCK KIT 2.5/3.5IN JL

Vehicle Specific Kit: Old Man Emu designed this kit for use with the Jeep Wrangler JL. The front remote reservoirs mount behind the headlight bucket on both halogen and LED models.

Lift Height: For use with 2.5” of lift on JL Rubicons, and 3.5” of lift on JL Sports and Saharas.

High Flow Bypass Ports: By using 51mm kidney bypass ports, Old Man Emu’s BP-51 shocks have a maximum oil volume for increased performance and cooling.

Aluminum Construction: The BP-51 shock body and reservoir are made from high-grade 6061 T6 aluminum. Old Man Emu uses this alloy because of its corrosion resistance and heat dissipating properties.

High-Flow: For an unrestricted flow of oil, the BP-51 shocks feature DASH-6 high-temperature Teflon hoses with high-flow fittings.

Durable Bushings: To improve ride comfort and reduce road noise, Old Man Emu uses oversized rubber bushings.

Abrasion & Corrosion Resistant: BP-51 shocks are coated in type-3 40-micron hard-anodizing. This heavy-duty finish is resistant to oxidation and stone damage. The BP-51 shocks also feature a replaceable shaft guard for additional protection.

Position Sensitive Damping: By using an internal bypass, shim controlled, position-sensitive damping, the BP-51 automatically adjusts depending on the shock’s compression. At ride height, they provide a comfortable ride, and at the ends of the shock travel they increase responsiveness and control.

Fully Adjustable: Both compression and rebound are independently adjustable on BP-51 shocks. The adjustments are external, and can be changed without removing the shocks from the vehicle.

Remote Reservoir: To increase oil volume, the BP-51 utilizes a remote reservoir design with aluminum anodized-floating piston and high-pressure nitrogen.
