The Design Engineering Titanium Pipe Shield is a high-performance thermal barrier engineered to protect critical components from extreme heat exposure. Constructed with DEI’s proprietary LR fiber technology, this shield features a two-ply design: an outer layer made from pulverized and stranded lava rock woven for durability, and an inner layer composed of 89% silica fabric capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1350°F. This advanced construction significantly outperforms traditional Mylar-backed glass fiber shields, which begin to degrade at just 900°F.
