The 6mm thick aluminum panels are the next evolution in under body protection providing superior strength and flexibility while minimizing weight. Why do we use aluminum for our skid plates? Aluminum’s density is about 1/3 that of steel and the advantage of the increased material thickness to offset strength actually makes aluminum more dent resistant over steel skid plates of the same weight. Aluminum is extremely corrosion resistant and will not rust even if the surface coating becomes gouged or scratched. Aluminum is the true winner over steel in cost, strength and durability.Each panel is laser cut and press formed for a precision fit.
